I just got back from Operation Desert Storm  and I bought a  red '92 Jeep Wrangler. I took the top off and drove it all over Bolivar Peninsula and the Texas coast . After a weekend at the " Zoo" there in Crystal Beach , I found a Jimmy Buffett cassette tape in my console. My friend didn't get that tape back. I put the beer  and sand soaked tape in the stereo and tried my best to live out those songs . Yes this song is based on a true story ! This is a tribute to the late , great , barefoot singer of songs : Jimmy Buffett! Fins Up!
